Dallas Tornados

It was extremely scary today, with more than a dozen tornadoes hitting Dallas area. I was at Lunch with Manoj Kri and Saju when the whole thing started. We made it back to Plano and there were a bunch of funnel clouds and sirens on our way back. Anju, parents and kids stood in the lower bathroom for a while during the sirens and I reached home when there were extreme rains and wind. All the DM friends were checking on each other. Yes, the park near the apartment area has become a frequent visiting area for the kiddos, twice a day. Some pics from the visit.

surprise visit

A couple of DM families paid a surprise visit to our apartment on Sunday evening. Achan and Amma took care of everything by taking complete control of the event. Ishu and Devu were freaked out seeing so many people at the same time, yep 30+ people, but it was great fun.

Pillai Family Reunion

After 9 long months since leaving Portland and USA, we finally started living together. Hope this will be a better one this round. Kiddos are extremely happy to live together with both Dad and Mom than just one or the other. Ishu became so attached to me and equally scared that I might leave her again. I have assured her that I will be there with her all the time. Hope the little ones will be fine when I am business tour. I miss my TMO job where there was no tour involved. A couple of recent pics.

Family back in USA

Ok, finally after a very tiring journey the kiddos are back in USA along with Anju and my parents. My poor parents took a huge sacrifice by compromising their health and coming all the way back to the same place where they said good by forever.
Ichu and Devu were super excited to see me and they enjoyed the drive back home and loved the new place. But they have become so naughty trying to reach the TV installed on the wall. Pics taken when they were playing in the new place.

First Firing

Today marks in the history for me firing someone from their job. Even though I had many instances to fire people in the past, this was the first time I ever fired someone and that was I.K. So far no regrets as he was not a good team player and never cared instructions from his superior and had huge attitude issues.

Bindu Chechi's 40th Birthday

An awesome event by the Dallas Mallus under the supervision of Manoj Krishnan. It was a whole day event at a downtown hall and I felt like I attended a wedding party. It was that cool, with a lot of dancing, singing and awesome potluck. Bindu chechi was overwhelmed and was in tears. Wow, hats off to the organizers. I am posting some 3D videos of the same too.
