Jay Gratch put up a photo of Mammooty on my office door last week.He told me that I am like him..Hope Mammootty will never know this or he will commit suicide.

Our biggest scare as parents till date.

Devu started having a slight fever on early sunday  morning (12/5/10)and we gave her tylenol. She refused milk when she got up ,and was sleeping on Sudha aunty's lap. Around  11am she started having a seizure!!! That was my first ever experience and we were all freaking out. I am in total loss to describe the situation ,as I was in total shock. Fortunately, I regained control and called 911. The operator tried to help me  relax while she send the paramedics, ambulance and fire truck. It was the scariest 5-7 minutes of our life.Devu's seizure lasted for 5 minutes. My little baby recovered from the seizure, but was not very responsive when the paramedics arrived. They checked her vitals and told me everything was fine and made me give her oxygen. Then we took her to the hospital in the ambulance where they identified it to be caused by fever associated with ear infection. We were in the ER for 2-3 hours where they controlled her fever and discharged us. We took her to the pediatrician next day. the experience was heartbreaking..

Portland Snow in November

It snowed in November this time, which was over of the very few occurrences in decades. The temperature today is 22 F (-5 C). Pic taken on my way to work this morning.

Devanshi Harshree Asokan method

Ishu has the tendency to bite Devu when she grabs her toys. Today while Ishu was attempting to bite her on the hand, Devu pulled a Hari Shree Asokan technique. Devu piloted her hand inside her sleeves into the body of the cloth letting Ishu hang on to the cloth..Wow, that was amazing to see a1 year old do a prank liked that..

Ishanvi the drama queen

Ishanvi baby is really becoming a Drama queen these days with a ton of awesome expressions and pranks. She thinks her grandma Sudha Aunty is her exclusive property and freaks out when she is taking care of Devanshi... She loves books, she can spend hours turning books. But Devu will never let her sit alone, she will go and disturb her and final end result will be Devu crying out due to a bite or push or hair pulling from Ishu.

First phone call from Devanshi

Today while in office, I got a call from Anju's phone. When I answered there was silence, so I thought it might be one of the little ones playing with phone. Then Devanshi started speaking her normal words, like calling me "Acha" and all. I had a 5 minute conversation with her on a variety of things as we do everyday in person. When she was giving me kisses, Anju finally noticed her. This was a great surprise and the first time. Way to go Devanshi baby!!!

Julio's Child Protection

I really don't whether anyone will do something like this for a friend...One of the biggest concerns I had was hours to protect the kids from the LCD TV, when they come back.Discussed the same with Julio and jee came up with this innovative solution.Not only he fabricated it, he came all the way and installed the same for me...So nice and kind of you Julio..I really really appreciate it...
